About the Leather
This is a Pigmented/corrected hide which is buffed and printed during finishing. Other variations on this leather are possible, like shaving, high gloss or two-toning. Pigmented leather is fully treated with surface color. It often begins as a middle split leather that has been sanded and embossed with a decorative grain. It is then treated with a surface tint to give it a consistent color throughout. Although these leathers are typically a bit thicker (stiffer) than anilines or semi-anilines, they are quite durable and attractive. In fact, some people prefer their rich, uniform color and texture over the inconsistencies of natural anilines.
